Akashic Records: the ultimate guide

The Akashic Records are considered the “book” (or record), that narrates the history of every soul—from its conception all the way to eternity. Of etheric nature, these records guide people in their spiritual evolution and healing.

The Akashic field has been recently validated and described by modern and quantum science as a unified energy field, present at every level and layer of our consciousness. This has confirmed what spiritual teachers and mystics have proclaimed for centuries: the existence of a creative energy that is the matrix of everything in the known Universe.

Akasha, a Sanskrit word, could be translated as “primordial substance.”
Pure energy. The Mind of God. The Book of Life.

So, what exactly are the Akashic Records?
We can think of the Akashic Records as a boundless database, or an immense library.

Imagine walking into a room full of books: at the back of the room, there is a door that leads to another room full of books, then another, and another… Each volume tells the story of a soul, from the moment of its conception until… infinity. Even cities, buildings, and pets have their own Records! Every decision made, every promise sealed, every event experienced—it is all recorded there. And when I say everything, I truly mean everything: not only what concerns this present life, but also past and future ones.

When I say future, I mean a plausible future, in other words the ideal continuation of all your past and present choices and actions. It is important to understand this nuance of “future.” While we all have a mission and a “general direction” for which our soul chose to incarnate in this body, at this time and space, it’s important to understand that the “future” can still take many different roads and shapes.

If you wish to travel from New York to Boston, you know that there isn’t just just one way, nor just one means of transportation to get there. We can choose different routes to take, with whom to make that trip, or if we want to do it by car, train, plane or what else. And what about spontaneously adding that extra stop we’ve been thinking about? Life is the same: we have a destination, places to explore, but we are always free to choose if, how, and when to go there.

So maybe now a question arises…

What’s the Akashic Records’ purpose?

The Akashic Records main purpose is to help us to know ourselves (or recognize ourselves) for who we truly are, so that we can live in the most authentic way possible.

If you have ever kept a personal diary, you know well that by rereading it you can recall important events more clearly and notice what’s changed and what ‘s still the same—what choices or behaviors helped you, and which ones did not.

The same happens in the Akashic Records, but as if from a much higher and wider perspective: the perspective of your Soul. We are given the precious opportunity to see, verify, and discover which knots we need to untie today in order for our life experience to flow freely in the direction we truly desire.

We can receive useful information about patterns in our ways of being and thinking—those that obstruct or, on the contrary, support our growth—whether in work, relationships, the expression of our gifts, or health.

Even dormant or otherwise “frozen” talents—those we cannot access because of agreements or vows that are no longer useful—can be retrieved.

These are just some of the wonderful results we can experience when working with our Akashic Records. As I said, they are a tool for personal growth and spiritual evolution, since every reading also brings healing or an energetic adjustment.

Many Spiritual Masters have taught that we choose our challenges and lessons before arriving here on Earth—that is, before incarnating. They are part of a greater Design, one that can be difficult at times to fully understand. The information revealed in the Akashic Records helps us to better grasp its meaning, to accept its complexity, and to regain trust in our path.

I can also tell you what they are not meant for: predicting the future. As natural and common as curiosity may be, in reality, this is somewhat of a waste of time. This is because, as I explained earlier, the decisions we make—along with those of others involved—changes of mind, and so on, inevitably influence the course of our events. Personally, I find it far more useful to gather information—true revelations, really—that help us decide with greater peace of mind.

What can you discover in your Akashic Records?

When exploring the Akashic Records, you will find answers to questions of any kind and nature, practical solutions to problems, mental peace, and spiritual healing—not just “information.” They can help us understand why certain situations keep repeating, where they originated from, and what we can actually do to improve or change them.

The main experience when exploring the Akashic Records, is one of Unconditional Love, regardless of whether you feel worthy of it or not. What the Masters of Light will share with you will uplift you and replenish your energy. This will align you with the highest perception possible for you in that moment about your existence and its purpose.

I always tell my clients and students that if you want to come away with clear answers, it’s important to pose honest questions about what you want to understand or know. This of course implys that the answers received might not be the ones you were hoping for! But you will certainly come away with greater awareness and a sense of truth. As with everything, you’re the master of your own destiny, and so what you make of the information received, it’s up to you.

There is also an aspect that’s still little known yet quite surprising: it concerns the origins of certain souls known as Starseeds. Anna and the nature she rediscovered through the Akashic Records

Take Anna, for example—a young woman with beautiful long, curly hair. She came to me for a consultation because she felt she wanted “more” from life, though she couldn’t quite say what that was. From the moment we connected on our video call, I had the sense she was in a period of transition. She paced back and forth in the narrow space between her gray sofa and the coffee table, as if she couldn’t quite decide where to sit—even in her own home.

As soon as I opened her Records, it was revealed to me that not only was her desire valid, but part of her soul’s purpose in this lifetime was to be of service to others. This longing was fully aligned with her Soul’s path. One of the reasons she chose this earthly journey was to build trust in her ability to place her gifts at the service of others, in a very specific way.

As the reading unfolded, the Masters offered her two key elements: nature and writing. I explained what I was seeing—that she had a deep empathic connection, especially with the plant world: trees, plants, and flowers. Then I saw a glimpse of a possible future, where she was leading a group of women in creative writing, outdoors in what looked like a forest camp surrounded by fir and sequoia trees.

Anna burst into tears and told me that, ever since childhood, she would stand guard over trees to keep them from being cut down—much to her parents’ dismay. She confirmed that writing had always been her strongest talent, one that had allowed her to work for major companies and earn a good living. Yet she longed to use that gift in a way that aligned with her holistic vision and passion for women’s empowerment. That confirmation became a turning point, giving her the confidence to trust her intuition about leading writing circles in nature.

Personally, when I see someone’s face light up, their eyes shining and a spontaneous smile forming as they hear these messages, I know without a doubt that the guidance has landed. Sometimes it’s followed by tears of joy and release—tears that carry healing and peace into the heart of someone who has perhaps been searching for a long time. Afterward, Anna asked me for support in bringing more order into her life and making space for what she truly wanted to create.

How do you access the Akashic Records?

Simply put, the Akashic Records can be accessed through meditation, dreams, and prayer. While true, conscious, and productive access requires initiation and careful practice, each of us carries the potential to connect with them. Below, I’ll briefly explain how each of these gateways can be used.

The Akashic Records permeate everything, yet at the same time, they belong to the most subtle spiritual dimensions. This explains the difference in vibration between the information we might find in the Fourth Dimension and the wisdom available within the Records themselves. Guarding this sacred territory are the Masters of the Akasha and other Beings of Light. Their role is to preserve, protect, and continue the “documentation contained in the database.”

For this reason, random meditations found on YouTube may not actually bring you into connection with this dimension. If you’ve ever tried and felt nothing special, now you understand why.

Accessing the Akashic Records through Meditation

This isn’t the method I personally use, so I can’t speak from direct experience. Meditation is a path of spiritual evolution that, unfortunately, is still underused. It requires patience, consistency, and dedication. It’s only natural that beginners find it even more challenging if they try to use meditation as a way to connect with the Akashic Records—especially if they’re doing it on their own.

For the same reason, I wouldn’t place too much trust in the many resources available online. If I were to choose meditation as my method, I would—as I always do—carefully verify the source rather than trusting “likes” or popularity before diving in. Otherwise, the results can be so disappointing that one might walk away altogether from discovering such a wonderful and, I’d say, almost necessary tool for our times.

That said, if we dedicate ourselves to meditation over time, it is possible to begin accessing higher forms of information—insights we recognize as not coming from our ordinary awareness. Some teachers work precisely in this way, guiding their students through specific visualizations that aim to open the doorway to the wisdom of the Records.

Accessing the Akashic Records through Dreams

This is actually the most spontaneous method, and for that reason, not an easy one to reproduce at will—unless, of course, you’re an experienced astral traveler or skilled at lucid dreaming!

I wanted to include this method, though, because if you pay attention to your dreams—as I do—you may start to notice recurring elements when you visit the Records in sleep. This is one way that the Masters and Guides share messages, symbols, ideas, and sometimes even premonitions with us. Often, we wake up feeling refreshed and joyful for no apparent reason!

A common theme in these dreams is the presence of water—like a beach or a riverbank, where water is the dominant element. Pay attention to the color (light or dark) and its nature (calm or turbulent). These qualities usually carry important meaning for the dreamer.

Another type of dream that may arise is one in which we recognize ourselves, even if we appear in different clothes or forms. These are often glimpses of past lives that our Akashic Records want to bring to our attention for a reason.

Accessing the Akashic Records through Prayer

Now, this is a realm I know well, practice regularly, and teach—and I can say with certainty that it works. In fact, it often feels easier than trying to control a dream (or learning how to do so) because it depends directly on our intention and willingness.

Today, there are many prayers shared by spiritual teachers—some well-known, others less so—that claim to open access to the Akashic wisdom. I believe it’s important for each person to choose one that resonates with their own values and preferences.

Of course, I can’t vouch for every prayer out there, since I only know a few—including the one I teach. But in general, I truly believe prayer is the best method, especially at the beginning. It allows us to work with vibrations already attuned to that higher realm, guiding us safely and directly to where we need to go.

Whatever the method chosen, we are connecting with a realm of Pure Love and Infinite Wisdom—one that allows us to evolve beyond our perceived daily struggles and to elevate both our thoughts and our energy.

In my own courses, especially Level I, I emphasize the importance of reconnecting with one’s Higher Self. To this day, all of my students have reported a remarkable expansion in their life experience, naming benefits such as spiritual healing, self-recognition and self-worth, the release of situations no longer aligned, and much more.

Receiving an Akashic Records Consultations

By now you may be wondering: “What is it like to receive an Akashic Records reading?”
The best way I can describe it is as a beautiful experience—filled with love, understanding, and a deep reconnection with your own truth.

Each reading is unique. Just as no dish tastes the same when cooked by two different people—even if they follow the same recipe—no two readers bring the exact same energy. Every practitioner naturally carries their own gifts, qualities, and essence into the session. And just as importantly, the energy of the person receiving the reading also shapes the experience.

If someone arrives nervous, skeptical, or overly expectant, the reading often feels less fluid or goes only so far. On the other hand, when a person is open and present, the session naturally deepens and flows. The exchange truly depends on both sides.

I’ve noticed that when someone doesn’t yet know themselves very well, the Records respond in a way that is gentle and digestible—matching the level they’re able to receive at that time. But when a person commits to their path and continues exploring, the quality, depth, and richness of the readings naturally expand over time.

Sometimes, people are surprised by how different a session with me feels compared to a past experience they had elsewhere. I always mention this because it’s such a pity when someone has one disappointing reading and decides the Akashic Records don’t work. In truth, it often comes down to resonance—being aligned with the right reader makes all the difference.

So, what happens during a session?
You come with your questions—clear enough for me to understand what you’d like guidance on, but without needing to share every detail of your life. After a brief description of your situation, I open your Records and begin translating what they show me. Rarely do the Records simply say “Do this” or “Do that.” Instead, they begin a dialogue—sometimes playful, sometimes serious—always perfectly suited to your needs in the moment.

It feels like a layered unfolding: as they speak through me, you begin to recognize the patterns, blocks, or root causes of what you’re experiencing. Alongside the words, there is often an energetic adjustment happening in real time—aligning distorted thoughts or emotions and helping you return to your center. In some sessions, the Masters may even guide us into a deeper clearing, where I assist in facilitating the process so you can receive the fullest benefit.

You’re always encouraged to ask more questions, making the reading more like a three-way conversation than a one-sided message. Common themes include life purpose, work, relationships, crossroads, and understanding the deeper roots of challenges. The guidance is spiritual and wise—more aligned with your soul’s evolution than your ego’s preferences—but it can also be practical, giving you clear next steps when the situation calls for it.
